Main functions of the polyclinic of the State Hospital of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Kryvyi Rih

The polyclinic receives patients from district therapists and narrow specialists:

• surgeon
• dermatovenerologist
• cardiologist
• ophthalmologist
• gynecologist
• neurologist
• otolaryngologist
• dentists
• GVLK
• physiotherapist

There are physiotherapy rooms, massage rooms, functional diagnostics rooms, and a clinical laboratory.

District therapists work in two shifts, specialists work on the first shift.

The main functions of the polyclinic are:

• Providing guaranteed free outpatient care - to persons who are entitled to medical care in accordance with the legislation and regulations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
• Conducting preliminary and periodic medical examinations of police officers, employees engaged in heavy work, work in harmful and hazardous working conditions, or those where there is a need for professional selection, annual mandatory medical examination of persons under the age of 21, and persons applying for positions, including positions of civil servants related to the performance of state functions, in the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Police.
• Conducting examination of temporary disability in accordance with the established procedure. Implementation of measures aimed at preventing morbidity, and temporary and permanent disability for persons entitled to medical care.
• Early detection of patients during medical preventive examinations and when contacting the doctors of the clinic.
• Dispensary supervision of patients, their timely rehabilitation, and treatment.
• Dispensary supervision of the Chornobyl NPP, ATO, IAEA. ATO, IAEA.
• Selection and rehabilitation treatment of combat veterans in ATO.
• Determination of the need for sanatorium treatment.
• Conducting medical and military-medical examinations of candidates for police and military service under the contract, and for admission to universities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs with specific conditions of training and higher educational institutions, police and military personnel of the NGU.

Experience and reliability

There is a garrison military-medical commission in the hospital polyclinic.

The military medical examination of candidates for service in the National Police, candidates for admission to higher educational institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs with specific conditions of study and to higher military educational institutions of the National Guard of Ukraine, candidates for military service under contract in the units of the National Guard of Ukraine, police officers, military personnel is carried out by experienced doctors-specialists.

The main tasks of the military medical commission are

• determination of the health status, physical development, and for certain types of service activities - individual psychophysiological characteristics, suitability of candidates for service in the police and training in higher educational institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, suitability of police officers for further service in case of promotion;
• determining the health and physical development of candidates for military service under contract, in the military reserve, candidates for admission to higher military educational institutions of the National Guard of Ukraine, the degree of fitness of servicemen for military service in connection with their dismissal;
• determining the causal relationship of diseases, wounds, injuries, contusions, and mutilations in police officers serving, discharged from service, and servicemen of the NGU.

The MHC provides control over the medical and diagnostic work in the hospital, summarizes and analyzes the results of medical and military medical examinations, and develops proposals for improving this work.

Together with medical specialists of other hospital departments, it analyzes temporary disability, summarizes the results of treatment and medical examination, and assesses the impact of service conditions on health and fitness for service.

In its work, the MMC is guided by the current legislation of Ukraine and the Regulation on the activities of the Medical Military Medical Commission of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
