The polyclinic of the Department of Internal Affairs in Kryvyi Rih was founded on January 1, 1970. It was located in a small room on Glinka Street. At that time the polyclinic staff consisted of 11 employees: 4 doctors, 4 nurses, and 3 junior medical staff.
In 1975, the polyclinic moved to a two-story building on Illichivska Street, where a therapeutic department for 30 beds was put into operation.
In 1997, the hospital changed its address again (60B Odeska Street) and expanded. The therapeutic department already has 60 beds (including 20 neurological beds). The clinic is designed for 250 visits per shift. A physiotherapy department, a laboratory, two dental offices, a massage room, and a canteen providing balanced medical nutrition to patients are being established. The hospital staff consists of 88 employees.
The Kryvyi Rih Department of Psychiatric Care and Professional Psychophysiological Selection was established based on the hospital.
In 2016, according to the Order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine dated 29.01.2016, the hospital was renamed the State Hospital of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Kryvyi Rih and became a separate structural unit of the Department of Medical Support of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
